Engineering, Procurement, Construction (EPC)

Major engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) companies trust Foss to provide comprehensive marine transportation and logistics in extreme weather conditions and in remote locations. With a worldwide network of partners, Foss coordinates with logistic companies, heavy lift companies, and construction firms to provide seamless service to support the most challenging projects.

General Construction

Foss provides marine support for construction projects in harbors throughout North America and overseas. By drawing on our unmatched marine engineering, rigging, shipbuilding and operational expertise, we can design, outfit and mobilize the appropriate fleet of tugs and barges for any project, large or small.

With an extensive fleet of tractor tugs, cranes, ocean tugs, and deck barges of all sizes—along with our highly trained and experienced operators—Foss always has access to the right equipment and personnel for the job. Our expertise includes working on major bridge construction projects throughout the United States, including the Carquinez Bridge in San Francisco Bay; the Tacoma Narrows Bridge and Hood Canal Bridge in Puget Sound; and the I-90 Floating Bridge in Lake Washington. For these and other projects, our vessels and crews tow caissons and deck components, and assist with running wires and anchoring.

Construction Mobilization

Foss' ocean towing services also support the mobilization of materials to remote sites around in the world, including harsh environments in Alaska. In Alaska, we have towed prefabricated silo components for a major contractor working on the Ground Missile Defense projects. In Mexico, Foss towed and then offloaded power plant equipment at an isolated location with minimal infrastructure.

Foss crews are highly trained to provide the highest level of service and to safely operate in the most extreme weather conditions and in remote locations.

Foss marine employees are focused on safety and quality.
